The Sandlings Centre

Owning a Holiday Home at The Sandlings Centre

Your Place in The Country

Suffolk’s Rural Retreat

The Sandlings Centre is a small family run park, set in ten acres of sheltered meadows and woodland, situated at the southern end of the heritage coast. The park is within minutes of the coast at Shingle Street and Bawdsey.

Unlike many parks in the area, The Sandlings Centre is managed in a way that allows wildlife to thrive among the natural surroundings.

If you are looking to get away from the hustle of the modern world, The Sandlings Centre will provide that perfect retreat.

The large number of marked walks and cycle trails close to the Sandlings Centre provide an excellent way to explore the Suffolk countryside.

For those who enjoy eating out there are a large number of country pubs, cafe’s and restaurants a short drive from The Sandlings Centre.

In addition to the initial cost of your holiday home, there will be ongoing costs which must be considered when deciding to make your purchase.

Site Fees & Business Rates

The Park Site Fees are invoiced on 1st January and are payable every year on 1st March. The Business Rates are invoiced in February/March and are payable on receipt of Invoice

Annual Gas Safe Check

It is the responsibility of each holiday home owner to have their gas appliances checked each year and a copy of the certificate given to the park office.

(All holiday homes sold on the park will have a new certificate issued prior to sale)

Insurance

All holiday homes on the park must be adequately insured, and a copy of the policy given to the park office. We recommend Compass Insurance, Leisuredays Insurance and Gold Park Insurance. If you prefer, you may use another insurance company, but there will then be a charge to confirm the policy provides adequate cover.

Electricity

Electricity Meters are fitted to all holiday homes. These are either card meters which are topped up with prepaid cards, which are purchased from the park office, or Smart Card meters which are supplied with cards which can be topped up at the park office.

Calor Gas

Calor gas cylinder refills can be ordered when required, from the park office and will be delivered and fitted to your holiday home.

Maintenance

Once you have purchased your holiday home, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the holiday home. We will, where possible advise you, and provide contact details for tradesmen and contractors who may be able to carry out the work required.

WHAT OUR OWNERS SAY

We 'discovered' The Sandlings Centre in 2001 and immediately fell in love with the tranquility of the Site. It has been our second home since then and we spend as much time as possible at our Lodge. The Site is always very well maintained and is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful Suffolk coast.                                                                                                                   (Beryl & Ron Bull)

When we were searching for a holiday home we visited several other sites along the coast but knew as soon as we arrived at the Sandlings it offered us the perfect place for the type of holiday lifestyle we both enjoy.                                                 (Debbie Dickens)

A delightfully quiet and peaceful setting, with nearby coastal, wood and heathland walks, yet close to the shops in Woodbridge and within half an hours drive of other towns as varied as Ipswich, Felixstowe and Aldeburgh.
